Schaeffler Group North America is responsible for the engineering, production, sales and marketing for the INA, LuK, FAG and Barden brands throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Manufacturing a full line of rolling bearings, engine and drivetrain components, linear motion products, precision products and plain bearings, we service the Automotive OEM, Industrial OEM and Distribution markets, as well as the Aerospace industry. Our extensive product portfolio is further supplemented by a full range of condition monitoring and maintenance products to support your overall bearing maintenance requirements.
The Schaeffler Group, one of the world’s leading automotive and industrial suppliers, has successfully mastered the worst economic crisis in recent times and returned to its usual strength faster than expected. The company is availing from a fresh strengthening of demand in the automotive and industrial sectors.
Crisis successfully mastered, on track for further growthThe Schaeffler Group is strengthening its capital markets communications and is setting up a dedicated Investor Relations unit which will be headed by Christoph Beumelburg (42). He will take up this new position on October 1, 2010 and will report directly to Klaus Rosenfeld, Chief Financial Officer of the Schaeffler Group.
The Schaeffler Group is strengthening its capital markets communications.Ballscrew drives efficiently convert rotary motion to linear motion to provide smooth and accurate positioning of linear motion systems
KGTTransport and positioning in sophisticated feed and discharge processes places particular requirements on the components and system construction. We have developed compact, highly integrated linear actuators and linear tables to fulfil these requirements.
Product rangeSlippage is the natural enemy of bearings. Schaeffler Group Industrial is presenting its first rolling bearing that is not only resistant to the effects of slippage but also prevents slippage from occurring in the first place – the new FAG tube roller bearing. The special feature of this bearing is that it contains three newly developed tube rollers instead of conventional rolling elements.
FAG tube roller bearingsRolling bearing supports in wind turbines are subjected to high, extremely alternating loads and a wide range of low and high speeds depending on the installation point. They are at the core of the drive train and therefore of the entire turbine. Accordingly, rolling bearing development takes account of the entire wind turbine system with the dependencies and interactions of its individual drive train components.
Virtual prototyping for wind turbine designWind turbines must be aligned to the wind conditions. The tower and the rotor blades are adjusted so that they make optimal use of the wind conditions and are not subject to excessive loads that could cause damage. Tower and blade adjustment are therefore significant prerequisites for cost-effective operation of wind turbines.
Slewing rings for exact positioningWith 1,146 registered patents, the Schaeffler Group ranks fifth in the German Patent and Trademark Office’s list of patent applicants that is published annually. In this list, 747 patents are for new products from Schaeffler Technologies GmbH & Co. KG with its brands INA and FAG and 399 patents are from the Schaeffler brand LuK.
New patents for numerous innovations for passenger cars and industrial sectorsThe Schaeffler Group has developed a car full of ideas called the “Schaeffler Hybrid”. The vehicle is part of an advance development project that enables a practical comparison of the various options available for e-mobility to be made. The vehicle demonstrates various vehicle configurations and driving conditions. This means the Schaeffler Hybrid not only has a volume produced combustion engine from a basic vehicle, but also has a central electric motor and two wheel hub motors.
Schaeffler presents product portfolio for electric mobility as part of a variable advance development projectThe double direction axial bearings suitable for flange mounting and with a radial guidance component correspond essentially in their design, mounting dimensions, rigidity and load carrying capacity to the established YRT bearings. As in the case of the latter bearings, they can support high radial forces, axial loads from both directions and tilting moments free from clearance and with high rigidity.
